Programs and Class Descriptions
Early Childhood Dance
Our Early Childhood Dance program is designed to:
•        Appeal to young girls and boys from toddlers through 2nd grade
•        Provide young children with an introduction to dance through dynamic and stimulating activities
•        Develop a child’s appreciation for dance, music and theater
We use music, dance, poetry, and pantomime to help children become more aware of their physical
abilities, while nurturing their self-esteem. Taking advantage of the natural curiosity of children and their
innate drive to play and create, Wright Foot Forward’s Early Childhood Dance program enhances the
flexibility, coordination, and rhythm of children while improving their ability to integrate multiple sensory
stimuli. Our program provides participants with all of the elements of introductory dance that will be required
to pursue more focused and formal dance instruction beyond the early childhood years.
Petite Ballet (I-IV) - Age 3 to 7
Basic principles of ballet are incorporated into this exciting, age-specific dance class, with an emphasis on
poise, balance, flexibility, self-assurance, and self-esteem. Each week we focus on elements within one of
four dance concepts -- space, time, force, and body. Stimulating music and costumes or fun props are part
of every class. Participants should wear canvas or leather ballet shoes with leotard and tights. We ask that
students wear a basic pink leotard and tights for class presentations.
Tumble Rhythm (I-III) - Age 3 to 6
